In Service of the Lich King
Sorry I haven't been able to post in a while. I have been busy moving into a new apartment and I will not have internet up until later this week. I should have a beta blog up in about an hour or so talking about my experiences since last time.
In the mean time, I just wanted to direct you all to something that Rohan said on his Blessing of Kings blog entry, The First Thing You Should Do in WotLK. He basically talks about how before venturing into Northrend you should create a death knight, even if you do not plan on leveling one. The death knight starter zone and quest line is one of the most exciting experiences in WoW and opens up quite a bit of lore exposition that has ties to Northrend events.
My initial death knight impression in somewhat so-so. I can see why a lot of people will enjoy death knights and we all know that servers will have the huge death knight rush at launch but I know that I will not be giving up my main for a death knight. I'm a healer to the core and I always want to play a healer role in raids. I have no interest in tanking and I have no interest in DPSing and well... that is the only two things that a death knight does. The class is very interesting because it is a new shiny but it is just not my cup of tea.
However you can now expect instead of seeing Undead Rogue #89725135 on the forums, you'll now see Undead Deathknight #92878917607016.
